High Performance Epoxy Adhesive Repair Compound Rapid Patch®

RapidPatch® Fibre
This type of epoxy adhesive repair compound is an extremely versatile product used in the repair of
composite plastics and fibreglass. This product is for use in repairing punctures, holes, gouges, cracks
and separations, etc. RP Fibre contains 1/20,000 microscopic fibres. If used in conjunction with our
fibreglass reinforcement tape, the mechanical strength of the repair is increased. RP Fibre exhibits
exceptional lap-shear and peel strength.

RapidPatch® Rigid
This type of epoxy adhesive repair compound is a semi/rigid finishing filler. This product has similar
adhesive properties as our fibre product, but finishes repaired areas to an ultra fine finish. RP Rigid is a
must in finishing coarse repairs, and can also be used in polyester or metal repairs. RP Rigid exhibits
superior peel strength.

RapidPatch® Flexible
This type of epoxy adhesive repair compound is a flexible matrix finishing filler. This product exhibits
good flexibility and adhesion. RP Flexible can be used on most flexible/semi-rigid repairs, such as:
polyurethane, polypropylene, EPDM, modified polycarbonate, TPO, etc. This product exhibits excellent lap-
shear and peel strength.

RapidPatch® GP3
This type of epoxy adhesive repair compound is a modified rubber polymer adhesive. GP-3 is a unique
product as it can be used in the repair of truck bodies, automotive panels, motorcycle fairings, boat hulls,
underground glass storage tanks, industrial fibre pipe, etc. GP-3 exhibits exceptional flexural modulus,
superior adhesion, along with high peel and lap-shear strength. Works on fibreglass, too.

RapidPatch® All Purpose
This type of epoxy adhesive repair compound is a blend of our Flexible, Rigid, and Fibre products. Ideal
for general purpose repairs.

Ultra Pro Series II
This is one of our hardener and is recommended for greater flexural modulus, larger lay-ups and longer
cure times. This product has 30% greater adhesion than our universal hardener. Recommended for use
with fibre-based repairs or repairs requiring a high degree of flexural strength. UP ll exhibits improved
overall performance. Not easily sandable with RP Flexible.

Universal Series I
This hardener is recommended as a standard quick cure hardener. This product exhibits excellent
adhesion.

Plastic Repair Using RapidPatch® Epoxy Adhesives

Remove frayed areas to be repaired. Rough sand damaged area to be repaired with 40-60 grit sand
paper. All joints should be tapered type. Weld or back area to be repaired with our self-adhesive
fiberglass reinforcement tape, product number RT890, for added structural integrity.
Mix product 1:1 on a plastic mixing board and apply to area of repair with a rubber or plastic
applicator. Allow (45-60 minutes) before sanding. Rough sand with 80 grit sand paper. Re-apply if
necessary.
To finish sand, begin with 150-180 grit sand paper. If necessary, finish sand to 400 grit. Be careful,
as material has a high resin content, glazing may occur if sanded too fine.
You are now ready to prime and colour coat with either waterborne or solvent-based coatings.

NOTE: Solvent preparations are not necessarily recommended, as mold release agents can contaminate
your repair causing poor adhesion. Sanding is normally sufficient. Do not touch finished area with your
hands or other media prior to application of the adhesive fillers or painting.

Caution!

In rare cases, these
products may
cause slight skin
sensitization. For
the affected area,
wash with warm
water and mild
soap. Apply lotion
or barrier cream.
Use a dust mask
when sanding. This
is a non regulated
product.
